6mm Arc for deer

I am definitely guilty of this. I always find myself pushing the limits of whatever new round I've got unless it's not one I load for yet.
I'm hoping to land somewhere between 2800-2950' with my Howa using the 89gr Apex Afterburner, 95gr Sierra TGK, or 103gr Hornady ELDX. 🤞🤞
We all are guilty of this. Some of us just might not admit it. I'm not ashamed to say that I'm in that club. I run as much velocity as I can safely run and keep the groups and stats tight.

Just looking at Hornady's data you should be able to safely reach your goals with the first two bullets. You may have to run at least a 24" barrel to get that speed with the 103. I have to say the bolt gun velocities from that little case are impressive.

I shoot a 22" AR chambered in .243 LBC (6mm Grendel) @ 3000 FPS with 95gr Berger hunters on top of CFE-223. I messed around with the 6mm ARC. I prefer the .243gr LBC.

I like the lil 6 ARC allot. Yes its perfect for med range deer! Would excel on speedy goats if ya didn't need to shoot across county's.

Personally I like the 85 btsp Speer. In the bolt ya can load to full potential and its darn close to the bigger 6's.

Yall keep posting how much of an easy button this little cartridge is, and I might just have to get one in a Howa Mini.
I really enjoy these lil Howa s. I do wish for more support in the aftermarket. But it is improving.
I have two now. My Grendel is arguably my favorite "deer" rifle. I have bugger abd faster. But this thing works for my conditions. When the lil ARC came along a buddy in Arkansas picked one up and started hunting everything. Then started reloading and improved upon factory because of AR limitations with factory ammo. I was intrigued.
I had a boyds stock, I had a DIP bottom metal... it didn't take me long... ordered a barreled action!

Right outta the box this thing shoot!

Here is a target from fireforming brass I shot very early on during break in.

What kind of velocity do you get with the Grendel and what is the barrel length if you don't mind me asking?
