6ARC bolt action pet load?

Here are a few examples off a Proof steel 26" barrel with BR-4 primers. COAL is 2.355"
10 shots at 100 yards 29.7gr of Lever Berger 108gr VLD

Taking the powder up to 31-31.8 on the Berger at the same 2.355" got the following which is not great

I switched over to CFE, and the same length.

Switching over to the ELDM bullet in both Lever and CFE results in the below shots.

Here are factory rounds with the 108 ELD-M which have a COAL in that 2.26 range

Tagging in.
Looking for loads to test my new 6mm ARC Bartlein 26" 7.5 Twist barrel once my range opens up.

My go to load
Berger 105 VLD Hunting and Hornady 105 BTHP
Hornady Brass
30.0 grains Leverevolution
2.30 Coal
My rifle is very consistent with this recipe if I do my part
I don't really shoot for groups so to speak
I normally shoot for consistent hits on small targets at 600-850 yards, but I have shot 2 sub 3 inch 5 shot groups at 850 yards with the Bergers load when I have really tried to see what it would do.
The Hornady is not bad either 1 sub 3 inch 5 shot group at 770 yards and 1 3 shot 1.250 inch group at 600 yards with it
My next powder to try will be Shooters World Tactical
I will always keep the Lever around though, it has worked great for me

I also have 2 AR's in 6 Arc
12.5" and 16" both are fun to shoot and ring steel out to 850 yards
Haven't tried any hand loads with either of these so far
The rifle shoots the 105 and 108 decently, the 12.5" likes the 105's

Duckman11, Howa has some literature saying 8 twist but my 22" Mini has a 7.5 twist…. Just an FYI.

I ve shot some 80 gr Sierra Blitz's and they did fine with the twist. Good luck.

Have you or anyone ever shot anything lighter? I'd love to shoot 70's if they ever come off the extinction list.

I have a mini in 6.5 Grendel and I like the rifle but find the cartridge anemic. I want something flatter and faster.

I know Hornady makes V-max 6mm bullets as low as 58 grain and they can be run at least 3500 fps in a bolt gun and over 3000 fps in a gas gun
I ran 87 grainers at 3100 fps in my bolt gun

If you plan to use the factory magazines, a rail works great, if you plan to use an aftermarket BDL bottom metal or the Jefferson Outdoors blind magazine, go with the Talley Lightweight mounts, you'll appreciate the extra room to load the rifle.
