6 PRC with N570

7828 would be another goody to give a go. I'm running it presently in a 6/06 that I inherited from my elk hunting buddy who passed a year ago. It and a plane jane nothing sexy 100 Horn sp are really rocking!

Just trued up those 109 ELDM's at 1000 yards. Using the advertised .295 G7 BC, the centerline of my group was 3" above the bullseye. I shot 9 shots, and they held 4" of vertical dispersion. So the data is decently solid. Have to add 20 FPS to my data to actually bring the group down.

A 6mm .295 G7 BC bullet going 3300+fps is pretty legit.
Try the 110 A Tip Hunt and let me know if it holds together. If it does it's advertised at .304 but I have it flying around .306" on my two 6mm's

Serious question for you guys shooting the 6PRC and not trying to crap on the cartridge but what's your reason for choosing it over the 243Win / 6XC / 6CM as it looks like you get an additional ~50-200fps but using +50% more powder. Seems like a barrel burner without much gain???

I used have a few 6.5 PRC's. So I already had the brass and dies, and wanted to try a 6mm. And I always enjoy an overbore wildcat. So it just seemed simple to me.

I honestly didn't even compare it to any other 6mm's in regard to charge weights vs. velocities.
