The N570 worked well with the 156. Not sure you could stuff enough in to get up to pressure with a 124.
Nice ! Thank you .57.5gr is where I ended up. Anymore and I just didn't want to trash brass during these times...It's cooking pretty good at that speed.
I was thinking same thing as Retumbo but more of N570. I like my RL26 load with 156 but I don't like the thought of it not being temp stable .The N570 worked well with the 156. Not sure you could stuff enough in to get up to pressure with a 124.
For Sure ! I'm doing that with Retumbo and N570. I have a good load for my 300 Rum with 215 Berger and N570. I put a 28 in. Bartlien conture barrel on it. The old Barrel loved Retumbo and 185 VLD's and Barnes 180 TTSX. I haven't even tried Retumbo in it yet ! ADG/GunWorx brass. Fed 215 match . Very low es and sd.I decided I am saving the N570 for my RUM and the 245...
I moved on to trying other bullets just to keep my interest up. I was able to get a few boxes of Hornady 143 ELD-X bullets. The first 3 rounds out of the barrel using RE26 grouped into 1.99" @ 400yds. (416yds actually). I've fine tuned the load and will see where that goes this week.@Varmint Hunter did you figure something out?
Nice. I'm going to work up some loads for several bullets. 124 hammers, 127 Barnes, 130 accubond & 140 vldI moved on to trying other bullets just to keep my interest up.
