Good point. I'm running an 8" twist and it has no problem stabilizing the Berger 156EOL so I doubt that's the issue.

I'm getting well over 3200 fps with 124 Hammer and RL23. Have loaded and shot Absolutes with same load but haven't chronographed yet. Shot a Wy. whitetail doe at 210 and a Mt. buck lope at 423 yds. With Absolute with great results.

I settled on 59.5 gr. RL23. with 124 GR. Hammer. Ave fps was 3353. Sd3 Es7. C.A. Ridgeline. 24 in. Barrel . I didn't chrono the Absolutes yet but used same load. This was max at starting pressure signs. I dropped down to 59.0 grs. but es and sd was higher ???

With a 156 Berger Hybrid I settled on 55.0 grs. RL26 . Ave. Velocity 2926 fps. Sd3 Es6.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll give the RE23 a try.
Both Retumbo and RE16 produced velocities around 3,000 ft/sec. The Retumbo was lightly compressed so I'm not going to further that. The RE16 still has room for growth but the RE23 appears to be a much better fit.

I think I tried H1000 also but don't remember fps.

I got to 3150 FPS with a 6.5 SAUM and RL 23 out of a 23" barrel.
Was able to get 3200 but wasn't happy with pressure and the ADG brass so backed it off just a touch.

How many grains ? Mine was ADG Brass also .

Here's the 131 HH with 58gr of RL26 no crimp. No pressure signs. Shooting 3/8 moa first 5 shots then did a 3 shot speed test. I'm done. Took less than 20 rounds to do load development.
.070 off the lands, ADG brass, CCI LRP mag primer, VLD Chamfer and flash holes uniformed. 22" proof 7.5 twist shooting suppressed with YHM Resonator.

57.5gr is where I ended up. Anymore and I just didn't want to trash brass during these times...It's cooking pretty good at that speed.

Im getting 3300 fps out of 58.3 grs N165 could go more cci 250 124 gr hammers 26 in proof my 25 in Bartlein with 131 gr hammers 57.3 grs N165 3180fps looks like the burn rate is like rl23 peronally I think if your using Rl16 you would do good with the 123 gr absolutes I'm getting one hole groups at a 100 yds your acc at 400 is awesome good shooting

I want to try N565. I think it's about just right for the 6.5 PRC. I have a lot of it and N570. Still have to try Retumbo. Have a lot of it also
