Where was the entrance? The neck?
I don't see any signs of "explosion". I see trauma, and trauma kills..

The problem is that trauma does not kill (quickly nor humanely) on the shoulder. Penetration kills on the shoulder. Neck/head shots are not the best choice for general purpose hunting since they are not easy. After that trip I switched to barnes LRX and Nosler partitions and problem solved.Where was the entrance? Ok. I don't see a problem personally. I see a dead critter, which is the goal. The problem is that trauma does not kill (quickly nor humanely) on the shoulder. Penetration kills on the shoulder. We are going next month. The concession we are going to this time has aoudad and nilgia. I'll report on it when we get back.I need a Nilgai as well! So maybe they will be a good one for me
