Source?scientific research has proven the short neck means nothing for barrel life... So......... Yeah...
John Krieger seems to still be convinced otherwise.

Amazes me how someone can have the opinion that people are stupid because they like something. I get it you don't like the PRC or the Creedmoor, LOTS of people do though. I'll shoot my factory rifle with factory ammo into 5inch groups at 900 yards and be happy while all the haters whine about the hype
There's more than one benefit to a longer neck, barrel life being just one of them, look it up sometime..The belt is a non-issue, and scientific research has proven the short neck means nothing for barrel life... So......... Yeah...

Getting this thread alive again, was an easy task.
HAHAHA!!!I saw mud kissing a guy at the hornady booth at SHOT SHOW, I have pics to prove it.
I'll have to see if I can find it again...Do you remember anything about who did any of the research or what publication it was in so I can find it?
Ironically, in this thread, I didn't bash any cartridge.Again, we all know that jasonco and mud are head-over-heels in love with all of hornady's 6.5mm cartridges. They know they are not worthy of them, and that is why they are bashing them.

Psst @therifleman556, thanks. LL!
The ones the keeps bringing up it up and always being negative, instead of appreciating what they have accomplished, esp. the support for the shooting/hunting industry. Their success was not an overnight sensation. I have met a few folks that have never shot or owed a gun before until the 6.5 CM was introduced to them (not me). The focus should be championing the cause to help more would be shooters/hunters. jasonco's meme in #29 is spot on. Way too much energy is being spent on the negativism. No one is forcing anybody to use their product, it is available for anybody to use at any time. That is the beauty of having the freedom of choice. What end-user does with their freedom of choice is entirely up to the individual. Individual differences exists for a reason. Let end-users decide for their own including the marketing hype you keep referring to ... so move one!
Thanks, FEENIX; I agree: shoot whatever spins your spurs. I'm an average joe shooting production guns with rather low-end optics and don't feel like I have to kiss anybody's rear end. I just love to shoot and do all my own reloading. Finally got the break-in done on my CA Mesa 6.5PRC, twisted up some mid-power 143 ELD-X loads and took it out dancing yesterday. 0.6" groups and couldn't be happier. Question is, who else is making quality brass for the 6.5PRC? Any help from anyone would really be appreciated!Psst @therifleman556, thanks. LL!
