Hey Shawn. Very nice. I have my own range. Come on over & shoot some time. Would be more than glad than to help you get started in safe & sane reloading.. It will open up a whole new world to you. You can't go wrong with the 6.5. Looks like your getting just about exactly what I get from my 6.5-06 & it's 24" Bbl. Also appears your actually squeezing the trigger.

It's an awesome cartridge that with a little planning on your build just makes life super easy.
If you want it on a 700/clone do a Wyatt's or use an accurate mag. If you want to get to the lands I would suggest using a .130 freebore reamer do factory ammo is slightly jammed.
Other than some initial planning once you have the rifle in hand the PRC just works, and if you don't reload/worry about destination trips and losing ammo/want to have an emergency option the factory ammo shoots great and is pretty dang affordable.

If the PRC will run a 147 in a 24" barrel without pushing it too hard then maybe that's what I'll try first. After all, I'll have 200 pieces of once fired brass after I shoot up the ammo I already have. I may do a post soon asking everyone for some advice on reloading equipment. As opposed to buying a kit, and then replacing/upgrading the pieces with better stuff over time, I'd just like to buy it all piece by piece and be setup for success from the start, even though it'll cost more.

Start off around 54gr rl26 loaded as long your mag box will take. ADG brass will more than likely cure any psi signs Hornady shoes and raise it a fee grains.

Those re-loaders pushing high velocities without proper pressure testing equipment are in dangerous territory. `This is where people loose fingers & eyes when a rifle blows. Stick to professionally tested loads from a reputable source.

The belt is a non-issue, and scientific research has proven the short neck means nothing for barrel life... So......... Yeah...The 300 prc doesn't have a retarded belt or a super short neck...

L!The ones that keeps bringing up it up and always being negative, instead of appreciating what they have accomplished, esp. the support for the shooting/hunting industry. Their success was not an overnight sensation. I have met a few folks that have never shot or owed a gun before until the 6.5 CM was introduced to them (not me). The focus should be championing the cause to help more would be shooters/hunters. jasonco's meme in #29 is spot on. Way too much energy is being spent on the negativism. No one is forcing anybody to use their product, it is available for anybody to use at any time. That is the beauty of having the freedom of choice. What end-user does with their freedom of choice is entirely up to the individual. Individual differences exists for a reason. Let end-users decide for their own including the marketing hype you keep referring to ... so move one!

So are you in the 90% or 10% and who made you the subject matter expert? You must be a marketing strategist to quantify and substantiate such a claim.
