6.5 CM GO TO LOAD

What kind of rifle/scope combo do you have?
It's just a savage build. Criterion barrel, hs precision stock, when that group was shot it was with a vortex gen 1 pst. That barrel has since been retired and it's now a 6mm creed. It was definitely a freak of a barrel. Like I said though that probably wasn't something I could repeat again. Sometimes the stars align and you get lucky

In my CMs 41gr R16 seems to work well with any decent 140gr bullet In any decent rifle. Also, though the BC is unimpressive, I've not found a CM that won't shoot the Hornady 140gr BTHP.

Here's 41gr R16 behind the 140gr Hornady BTHP.

41.7 grains RL16
142 smk
Coal. 2.710
210 gmm
Hornady brass,
Fcd, light crimp. Brass annealed. Collet resized only.

This load is insanely accurate. Typically a 1/4 min load, but have had a few, in the .1 area. Velocity is 2700 ish, +-.
Very consistent, Enjoy.

Try this again.
41.3 grains RL16
142 smk
2.710 coal
Hornady brass, twice fired, annealed
210 gmm

This is a 1/4 minute load, all day, but have several targets in the .1's. Velocity is 2710, 2715, or so. Very consistent. Try it, you like it!😊

1) 41.3 H4350, .035 off , Berger 140 Hybrid, Lapua brass, CCI primers- 2,730 velocity
2) 42.5 H4350, same as above but 2,802 velocity

We're planning to start a saami max to locate the node then move to the lands and start working our way back but we expect we may be limited by mag length ...

Have any of you guys experimented with distance to the lands with either the hornady 140eldm or 140bthp match?

I've been loading the 140bthp since eldm are unobtainum and my R700 shot the 140 AG sub .5moa. At 600rds in my R700 5R G2, the lands are at 2.235" CBTO or about 2.835 COAL with the 140bthp. These bullets don't seem to be very jump sensitive, and I've been getting .3-.5moa at 2.805 COAL.

140bthp, Lapua LRP, 210M, 41.6gr H4350, 2.205 CBTO, 2760fps, SD 8 / ES 15.

Here is my Creedmoor Recipe. This is also a Jon Beanland built custom. Not listed on the target are the Lapua small primer cases (first firing) and Federal GMM primers. Velocity is from 10 shot average on LabRadar. The 140 grain Berger is the hybrid hunter.
Barrel has around 120 rounds downrange.
