6.5-7mm prc

[Short Case]

I shot a 7mm/300 Norma for 4 years and love that gun, I sold it when I should of keep it.
I have been thinking about building a new one but this time I thinking a 6.5/300 Norma
and use the 156 Berger and 160 Matrix bullets.

JGS has the print. When I called them, they said they needed the OK from Blaine at UM. During their podcast, Josh said it was available so probably just paperwork.

Anyone that currently has one of these 6.5-7PRC's mind sharing some load data with charge weights? I'm planning to shoot 140 Hybrids with either H1000 or N565 and was just hoping for a good starting point for a pressure ladder. And possibly a realistic ending point as well.

I have a 6.5/7mmPRC, but load for the 150's and use V570.

Anything would help really. I'd imagine a 156 with N570 would actually be really close in charge weight to a 140 with H1000

Howdy, N - 560 and 565 will push the 156 comfortable to 3200fps. I have other loads when I get to my shop I will look them up.

Scott, I think the .277 is the perfect round in the 7prc case with the rifle you already built me. Want to do another one just like that, just not in the works right now. I know the 6.5s are where it's at, but don't forget about the .277

This! Agree and think this would be an ideal application for the 277...the 170 is nearly perfect all around bullet size for most game in the lower 48. The powder to bullet weight ratio is excellent
