I'm interested as well. What kind of velocities do you think you'll get with that combination? Looks pretty ideal to me possibly

HahahaSome guys are experimenting with the 6.5-7PRC while others are committed to the 7-6.5PRC. This is a great hobby with endless possibilities. Keep the data coming!
You have a/the .338 prcIf Ruger would have done 338 with the 375 Ruger. I did it and love it!!
It's a necked down 375 no shoulder bump back and I have the 7-375 and have done the 30-375 Ruger way before the PRC ever came around. Love that the 300 PRC came out now I can get good brass. You have a/the .338 prc
You making 7-6.5PRC in a long action? Is there enough powder in 6.5PRC casings to get the MV you need with long, heavy 7mm bullets (180 class?)?
Wow- that's wild. I'm happy to get near 3k fps out of 156s in a 24" barrel, and that's with RL26 or H1000. What kind of recipe could get that kind of speed from just 68gr of capacity? You can run the 180's around 3k with the right powder and long barrels.
That's a very interesting concept for if you didn't want to go full 300PRC and still wanted to take advantage of some longer, heavier .30 cal bullets a Winny would struggle to seat. . Please post details if you do this.308-7PRC
My brother and I have been kicking around the idea of just the opposite. 308-7 PRC. Not have the case intrusion of the 300 wsm. Only a couple grains of H2O behind a 300 winny. Run them long in my Tikka. Just about the perfect mid magnum.
Maybe better with the 400MOD steel?Don't plan on any long barrel life. Depending on your rate of fire, number of rounds in between cleanings as well as how you clean it will all have an effect. I'll say peak barrel life will not make it past 500ish rounds.
Bullet length will effect barrel life as well as double base powders will also shorten barrel life will be other factors to think about.

I don't know who Eric Cortez is but, if you mean Eric Cortina; he stated during an interview with gavintoob recently, that he and most other "F class" shooters use 284 Win.I believe the 7-6.5PRC is what Eric Cortez is shooting and winning F class with
