Ive seen a good bit of support for the 6.5 prc case necked up to 7mm and that seems like a great case for a heavy target rifle in a windy day. What I am looking to due is take the long action 7 prc and neck it down to 6.5mm for a blisteringly fast 6.5 and then sling the heavy 153 atips. Have any of you tried this yet? Not sure of what to expect with velocity but I will have this on a 30" barrel so I am hoping for 3200 fps with the 153 atip/156 eol. An alternative for this could be the 6.5-300 wsm with the new lapua brass. I haven't seen much at all for either of these potential wildcats so I'd you have any experience relating to these or of the sort I would appreciate some insight.

Here's some info - but maybe you've already seen it?

Theres some good info in there, kinda showes that others think 3250 with a 153/156 is within possibility. Also wondering about a 99gr hammer hunter to chase the speed itch. Not sure on velocity on it though, maybe 3850?

I would think you could get close to those numbers anyway. In 6 PRC, I could push a 109 hybrid about 3400 without even using N570/N565/RL26, etc. The 7 PRC has a fair amount more volume.

I made a hotrod 6.5 by necking down the .338RUM. 140 Nosler at 3,429 feet per second.
