Good for you. I am not recoil sensitive but some are and making fun of them is not doing anyone any good. Brakes are great for your shoulder but even better for spotting shots.

Im not saying I'm recoil sensitive. I was dumb a few years ago and during a baseball game had a collision. Ended up blowing up my shoulder and elbow. My elbow was completely dislocated. All my ligaments were torn and fractured my radial head. As well as my shoulder having ligaments torn. Dr. Says I will have arthritis from now on. And most likely will have replacement surgery in my later days. I'm only 24. Awesome to see my baseball career take a nice hault. I appologize for being sensitive to any shooting now. I should be using a crossbow for archery, but F that.
I can make you a break if you figure the logistics of getting me your gun! Definitely won't happen until after hunting season tho!
I'm running H1000 in my .300 and will Run it in my 6.5SS also. I would recommend that for your .300 if your getting a load developed for our October hunt. Could be 20 or below at 7000 feet and if your running some temperature sensitive powder and shooting in 90 degrees down there you might have an issue when we're hunting.

I was getting 2950 from my RL19 load. Didn't see a noticeable difference from 90F when I did load dev to the 50F when I shot my bucks. I did confirm zero because of a change in elevation where I traveled to hunt. Not sure if increased elevation offset the temp difference or not but it worked for me and was what I had on hand.
Every Alliant powder I have used was temp sensitive. Some upwards of 2fps per degree. It won't matter much at 3-400 yards but the longer you go the more it matters. The only exception has been RL26 but I would need more testing to be sure.

Muzzlebrakesandmore is where I'd look. I'm sure you could find one that could be spun down to your barrel diameter.

This is the "little beast" brake on my 6.5-284 and it works well.

While i was guiding a winter steelhead trip on a three boat trip..somehow the river decided to have at me..when I pushed on my oars it pushed back and shoved my right arm out the back of my shoulder socket and somehow the left got torn in the front of the shoulder....two hours into an eight hour trip and another day coming......three years later i was finally able to afford the surgery..on the right....85% of the labrum torn away....left is still ripped up and I just deal with it.......cant throw a baseball.....replaced my buttpads (all) with Sims and don't feel anything.......

Man that must of been a rough long trip after that. Could not imagine going through that long with that kinda pain. At least with my situation I got to the hospital within 15 min.
I'll have to look into the Sims. Thank you for that.
