It's a 338 edge necked down to 6.5, given a 40° shoulder and all taper blown out. Will send this 156 around 3800 fps!!!!!

You could chamber one right now and use 6.5 SS dies
Thats exactly what Im doing with the 7 Max and it works fine. You just dont size the last .080" of the base which doesnt matter anyway. Use 7 Max brass and a simpl neck down.

no because there are no reamers OR dies for a 338. This only works for the Max because all I have to do is run the 6.5 ss reamer deeper and use the max head space gauge.
Rich, this has nothing to do with a 156 eol, other than I have a couple hundred ordered for my 6.5 ss.
If I wanted to make a 300 prc si out of my old 300 rum, will the bolt face need any alterations? I am guessing not, just wanted to check.
