6-284 or 6 Creed

Just for info I also load for the 284 and 6.5 284 last night I took a look at my compitition seater I use for my 284 win and tried it out on the 25 -284 couldnt believe it . 00 run out no where on that compitition die does it say 284 so I guess it will work with any 284 parent case that is a redding die

If you decide on the 6/284 there is no rule that says the case has to be completely full of powder.Slow it down or run it hot ,your choice.

6 creedmoor is a lot of fun and shoots with most Bullets and powders and I talking 1 hole at 200 yards from a bench and everything inside the nine ring or 10 ring shooting prone I built mine before hornady had ammunition for it

Why go through the hassle of fire forming brass for negligible gains when there is factory and good brass support for the 6 creed? By the time you stuff a 108-115 in a 243ai it either won't run out of a short action or is so far in the powder that those gains are muted to run in a short action.
Same goes for the 22 creed and 22-243ai or 22-250ai. There's quality headstamped no fire form no custom die creedmoor cartridges that will do all the things these now obsolete wildcats will do

Yet I love my 6CM.
105 Hyb @ 3186fps from a 24" 1:7.5" or 115 VLD @ 3087fps, both suppressed. I shoot steel out to 1500 with it, and have taken pronghorn at 460 and coyotes out to 910.
Super light recoil, feeds slick from an Accurate mag, accurate, good brass availability, SRP or LRP, and enough horsepower for medium game out to 600-700+.

for the fun of it last year i rebarreled a new Savage varmint rifle with a Brux barrel ,7 1/2 twist , 7 contour chambered in a 25 Creedmoor i call 257 Creedmoor it shoots very accurate with 128 gr. Hammer bullets and 135 gr. Berger bullets also, this rifle also likes 115 gr. Nosler B.T. . so here`s another option for you ? good luck , Twolf

I built a 6x284 in a lightweight rig for hunting, and I love it. It isn't even in the same class as a 6 creed. I've had both and my creed was a tack driver, but something about dropping dimes on a target way way out there. I'm pushing a 110 grain A-Tip (worked well on an antelope) at right about 3500. That is waaaay faster than a creed. If you want to impress your buddies.....both will do it, but the 6x284 will do it better.
Dies are available (today) and so is brass. One stroke of the die and 6.5x284 brass is 6x284 brass. No more effort than putting them through the die to true necks before first loading.
Can't speak about barrel life and don't care. If I love every pull of the trigger, I'll worry about it 800 pulls from now. Keep us posted.

You do know the 6mm rem and 244 rem is the same cartridge just renamed because of twist rate ? Why not a fast twist 6 mm rem?

Simple, just go look in the mirror, if you have a man bun then go with the Creed. If not, go with the 6-284.

Honestly, I have to agree. Pretty tired of the references. I'm not a vindictive sort of guy, but with many of these references I've felt like challenging these type folks to a shoot off....ill bring one of my bone stock CMs and they bring whatever they want under 20 lbs in weight and let's shoot for $100/shot. After I clean your wallet out, I'll give you your money back for a promise to never say another derogatory word about a CM.

Check the equipment lists for a BIG long range match...... world wide competitors....
