375 H&h

I have shot the 270 Barnes TTSX the most out of a 375 weatherby and they work. I use to have a few of the 240 TBBC I'd shoot and it made my 375 as flat as a 300 mag don't think they even produce that bullet anymore ..I have a few of the 248 fgrain hammers I'd like to try just have not got around to them,

I actually shot several moose and many huge bears in a 375 RUM with the 260 accubonds myself. I'm always looking for more opinions and real world experience. I know the H&H is slower, but maybe the accubonds are the best choice for now, thanks

Rel 15 was the only powder I ever used because it treated me so well in all bullet weights. My favourite load was with 235 gr Barnes at just over 3000fps. It worked well on grizzly and big moose and was not too punishing in my Remington.

I've used the 235 Barnes TSX along with H4350 (I think) in my 375 Wby. It worked just fine, imagine that eh..........:)

Only used my 375 H&H MRC in Africa. Too heavy for my old body here in Colorado. Also only used Barnes bullets, 235, 250, and 300. My favorite being the 250 TTSX. All shoot 1/2-3/4" 3 shot groups at the 100 meter distance. The 235 will reach 3,000 fps. The 250 2,800 fps. And the 300 in a hot load over 2,600 fps. R-15 and CFE223 are my favored powders.
I suspect for black bear any bullet you have should work great. For those weights I'd look at R-15, CFE223, Varget, and almost any powder in that burn range.
I find the 375 H&H very forgiving on that range of powders. Also had good luck with H4350 and IMR4350.
Best of luck finding what works best in your Remmy!

I've used my 375 H&H AWR and killed everything from grouse to Elk using the 270 grain triple shocks with varget. A few years ago I switched to the 270 LRX and have killed a handful of deer and elk with them and they work great, I've recovered a few bullets against the hide on the opposite side and they all look just like the pics. Mine will shoot both bullets into a 1" group @ 200 yards.

I had a .375-.338WM. Real close to .375 H&H performance, like 2,800 plus with Sierra 250's & RL15. My usual load was 69-71 grains of H4350, AA4350, or SW 4350 with the Speer 270 spbt bullet. I made brass from .338 WM but with more work brass can be made from 7mm Rem Mag.
Ballistics were real close to 165-168 grain .308 Win loads. It also shot the 270 grain Hornady interlock bullet very well.

I re-barreled the rifle to a 6.5 PRC.

I have a RCBS .375-.338 die set, some 260 Accubond & Speer 270 grain bullets, some brass, a nice take off SS 12 twist Lilja .375-.338 WM barrel for a Ruger M77 MKII by a well known gun smith, & Ruger stock.

Please PM me if interested in any of these items - will make a real good deal.
