338 WM and 30-06

I like both of them, the other calibers are going to wait awhile, I can see a .308 in a LR Savage though,hard to beat for fun target shooting .

I have used the 30-06 for as long as i can remember. I was alwways told that if you are comfortable with the caliber of firearm, than you can shoot just abpout anything. The 30-06 is a popular caliber and proficient out to 1000 yards. Its been trusted for so long, i really dont want another gun

I am pretty much of the same thoughts, down the road, a year maybe I would like a .308 long shooter, Savage most likely, for some fun long range jug busting. I think my 30-06 will be my deer rifle for quite awhile and hoped for elk rifle.
