No , the dark haired brother got on a big brown in another episode of Stuck in Rut.IT was running into alders and he took the Texas heart shot at him and broke him down.Then followed up and got another round in him.By time they hiked over,he was dead.They take many game at LR

They were shooting a 338 RUM with 225 Accubond loaded 100-200 fps over Hodgdon's max load. So that blow out the primer and locked up the action after 3 hits on the bear at about 475 yards. Then the bear came after them and it took three hits with a 454 Casull pistol to take the bear out.
The hits at 475 yards were probably too far forward. Most of the bear wasn't visible because of deep soft snow. She said those hits were through vitals but apparently the bear didn't see it that way. A shot through the lungs would likely have taken him out well before he reached them. It was a long time between rifle shots and the pistol at close range.
Afterwards her shot placement lesson was shot for the spine. I doubt many people would agree with that.
It was an interesting video.
