.338 NM Build

I was planning on getting the TBAC 338 Ultra SR, so I was going to go with the quick attach muzzle brake, but they're back ordered right now.

Excellent, what barrel length are you gonna run? I'm interested in how recoil will be, I have thought hard about getting a can for mine, but not sure I want to dump the coin if the recoil would be unmanageable in my light rig with just a can

I have a 300 Norma mag that is relatively lightly weight, but still breaks over 11lbs fully dressed. Defiance deviant, manners eh5a mini chassis, hell's canyon armoury barrel, tt special trigger

I'm going with a 24" barrel.

Trigger and bottom metal made it. The barrel should be here tomorrow.

In my excitement in getting the trigger shoe changed out on the Bix'n Andy, I took too much apart and managed to lose the ball bearing for the safety. Soooo, I'll have to get in touch with them and see if I can order one, or three, since I like to lose stuff.

All ready to head out. I'll be tackling my next build since there won't be any machining and I'll be running a prefit barrel. But, I'll leave this one to a capable smith.

Beautiful action, fantastic stock, but delivery times are as long as here in Italy ?? To have a Kelbly action over a year

I only waited 10 weeks or so to get my action.

Just need to pick up some cases and I'll be ready once I receive the rifle back. I'll also need to grab a scope and rings, but that should be the easier part.

Going with a 26" barrel instead of having it cut down to 24". Hopefully she is back here in Alaska in time to get it dialed in for a bear trip in June. Then again, I'll just be there for backup, so I could just bring my 460 Rowland and call it a day.

I did go out of state. Seems all the good gunsmiths in Alaska have closed up shop or have a long lead time.

I sent it off to Shaen Magan.

Shaen finished my rifle right before I headed out to guide a bear hunt. Came home to her sitting in the case.

Mocked up the scope and she sure is purty.
