For our anniversary, my wife left me in the shop Tuesday to build this rifle. Great woman!

Brux 28" light Palma contour 1:9 twist
Manners eh1 gap camo
Interrupted fluting
Cerakoted metallic charcoal
4 port custom slab brake
Weighs 8lb 4oz w/o scope

Plan to run it out tomorrow and test some 270 eldx. If no luck, I'll go back to the 285 eldm. They were very accurate in my last edge.

Found a decent load with 285 eldm and n570, but the powder is too slow. Only getting 2786fps so I shot this ladder today to see the pressure range for h1000. First shot was out of a nice clean barrel. Charge was 89-93 in .4gr increments. Loaded up some higher charges for next time because I didn't hit pressure today. Top speed was 2894. Not sure what I did to #10....

Did another 285m ladder with charges up to 94.7g h1000 and found a couple areas to try. Cleaned it really well, so the first few shots were to foul it up. I was interested in the higher charges today. Tomorrow I will try 92.9, 93.7 and 94.5. Any advice is always welcome. MS chrono was attached. Tomorrow I will leave it off. To make sure I am not affecting the harmonics too much

Here are the 93.0, 93.7 and 94.5gr groups at 200yds. Nothing spectacular, but the 94.5 looks to be a good starting point. 2920ish with a 285 makes me very happy if I can get .5moa or better accuracy

I'm at 2884 ft.per.sec with the 300 gr . &H-1000.
I would be interested in your oal.
I'm sure you stood on the reamer to get a few more inches !! Ha ha
