300 Win Mag ELD-X load testing?

When I do load development I always find a COAL that shoots hole in hole that will fit in my magazine. Yes we all know it's alot easier to come back off jam until you find your node but if you need another shot it's really nice just to rack another one in

View attachment 142295 Yesterday I tossed together a load using 220 gr ELD x and 72.4 gr H1000 2690 FPS coal was 3.45" T/C Compass 24 " barrel 1-10 twist it measured 1.858" at 200 yds . I think I will play with this a little . I had a piece of 1/4" plate , never thought It would penetrate.
It would have gone through 3/8" plate too.

I'm betting 63 grains of RL17 or 67 grains of 7828ssc would have that 200 grain ELDX flying at 2900+ fps out of a 300 WSM.
That seems a bit light. I've been pushing 200gr eldX with 72.5 gr of 7828ssc and have awesome results.

Has anyone with a 300 Win Mag had a chance to shoot the ELD-X bullets yet? I curious how they are grouping and what kind of speed you are seeing with them so far?

Any load data would be appreciated.
Well. I found a happy node for my Savage 10t-sr. 200gr eldX pushed with 72.5gr of 7828ssc. Odj is 2.81. 0.3-0.5 moa.
I will be running some 178gr eldX tests in the morning. Starting with 74gr of 7828ssc at 2.82odj.
So far the only problem I've had with eldX is hunting. I shot a bear about a month ago and it made a heck of a mess. A 200gr eldx at 300 yards just about hollowed out the poor critter.

I have great results with 80-G of Retumbo with a 212-G ELD-X 215-M primer and Hornaday brass because it's harder than most other brass and the primer pockets don't enlarge like Nosler brass will. But this load is pushing the envelope and you should work your powder load up to this as long as you have no signs of high pressure on your brass. I'm getting 2924 FPS with a variance only 6 FPS normally I don't pick a hot load like this that's on the edge but just happens that my 300 Win-Mag Savage barrel just loves this load.
