That's right at the velocity that I found for my load and barrel length, which is only 1/4" longer then yours. You must be on or near the OBT with that powder?

That load is lights out accurate in my stick. I'm going to mess around with Retumbo and see if I can get a little more velocity and keep the accuracy. Not following you - what is OBT?

Finally got out and ran some loads through my new stick today. I had to just slap a cheapo scope on as my backordered xtr ii still has not shown up, 5 months in. I was jamming all loads .010" inches into the lands as this is the first firing and it seems to help when i load my first firings that way. Didnt see much for groupings that jumped out at me but saw some things to work off of. Retumbo and RE 33 seem to be the ticket. Data as follows.

Dang, you're getting 3036FPS with 93gr of RL33!!! I need to chronograph my load for my 30-338Lapua IMP that uses 101gr of RL33. What is your barrel length?

I tried h50bmg in mine and groups were going out toward 2 moa with 88 gr. barrel is 27.5

88 gr of h50bmg only did 2600 fps in my barrel.. 92 gr did 2750.

H50bmg is the most accurate powder that I have used.
25.5" Krieger 5R MTU
86 grains H50bmg Federal 215M
230 Berger OTM .040 off the lands
2800fps with and ES of 3.5fps

I had 11 more rounds of virgin brass to fire with 50 bmg and it actually got down in the .5 moa range. Didnt set my chrony so not sure what they were going.

Anyone try any 208gr eld's or amazed in their norma? I have great results with 86gr of retumbo with the 230 pills but at .61$ a shot I decided to step down to the 208gr eld's just to see if they will shoot. I've heard some guys starting in the 88 grain area. Thanks guys

Been waiting on some 212s but haven't really looked at the 208s very hard, I knew this round wouldn't be cheap to shoot when It picked me and really like taking advantage of the extra bc the 230s will provide.

Got out and did some load development using RE 33 and had one that grouped really well. I loaded up 3 rounds from 92 to 94.5 in .5 gr increments and all of my 230 TH bullets .020 off the lands. The only issue I have is that I started to see ejector marks and some sticky bolt at 93 gr which was my best group. Might bump up to RE 50 and try it too soon.
