Just not a fan. They get hot as hell, shoot slower. I rather have 6 inch longer barrel
Fair enough, at least you have reasons ha ha. It's not everyone's cup of tea, and this load would probably be 3130 or so fps in a 26", I personally just like how compact it is in my pack, works great for my type of high country Wyoming pack in hunts. And the supressor is great for not blowing every deer out of a basin. Some of the places I hunt might have several smart 180"+ bucks in one basin or bowl, and I have seen when you crack off a round or two from an unsupressed rifle, the big deer tend to hole up and become nocturnal, or just leave.

Now my desert pronghorn gun.....weighs 13 lbs and has a 29" barrel plus brake. Ha ha, different tools for different jobs!

I hunt similar just typically when I pull trigger im hoping im tagged out and dont care where other deer go lol
Ya, I hunt many of the same areas with my wife, cousin, his wife, maybe a couple of my buddies......so we like to keep em in the dark so to speak ha ha, and disturb the country as little as possible. Plus I don't want other hunters hearing my gun shots and finding some of my honey holes. Might be paranoid, but people have done crazier things, especially for big mule deer.

This is the first year I hunted suppressed. It's amazing the difference in how wildlife reacts. It's a little more like archery. They don't skip county the same way they tend to do with typical gunshots. Could have easily followed up and taken the 2 deer that were with the one I harvested after the shot. Doesn't flag your position and doesn't leave your ears ringing - making it easier to hear impacts & movements, etc. I'm sold.

Ty Shaw let me know that he received all my components and has been awesome to deal with so far! Great communication through text and phone calls! He also let me know that he is working on building his own independent business "Flatline Precision". With help and guidance from Kevin there at Weaver Rifles, he hopes to go independant soon. I thought that was great. And asked him to put Flatline Precision on the barrel since its his own reamer and sizing die design and he'll be doing all of the work. So if you have an Instagram maybe go give him a follow and check out some of his recent builds. He seems like a great dude, so I really hope he is successful.

If you see me really pushing his name out there after I receive and am happy with the rifle. It won't be because he cut me a deal or anything either. It will just be to get his name out there and hopefully help his new business grow!

Screw the deer. How about your hearing for the next X decades of your life! I already having some major hearing loss from being young and dumb, I don't need it getting worse.

I love hearing the "thwack" of the bullet impact when shooting suppressed.

thats why i pack ear plugs. Suppressed magnum doesn't quite a gun down enough to not damage ears id wear them anyway. Just my personal preference. Ive never had game leave and not come back or find them in the next drainage but to each there own nothing wrong with suppressor just not for me.

Yeah that's the obvious answer. For me, I never seem to put them in though. In a perfect world where I have time to put them in, I would, but it always seems to be a fire drill and the ear plugs are NEVER a priority! Haha

My 7saum with a TBAC Dominus is hearing safe.

So is my wife's 7 max, both of my cousin's .270 Sherman's, both my uncles 24" 7 mag and 22" 300 WSM. My 30 nosler isn't quite with this can, but I take ear plugs anyway. If I don't have time to put them in, it's WAY better than a brake, and if I have time, I just gently push them in so it takes away the crack, but I can still hear decent. I have seen deer up and leave country, and would prefer to not have to chase deer to the next draw over, which where I hunt, may be 2-4 miles, when I can just simply not spook them off. I do understand that it's not for everyone though!

Sorry Huntnful, didn't mean to derail.......
