My current 26" chambered barrel weighs in at 3lbs. This 29" unchambered blank barrel weighs in at 4.5lbs. Should add about exactly 1lb when it's cut to 27-28" (I haven't decided) and chambered. Perfect!!
Awesome dude!!! Keep me posted how load development goes please!Well mine will be in hand Thursday afternoon. Mike sent me these Friday before it got packed up. View attachment 385988View attachment 385989

Will do. It's going have good dose of 225 elm's for firing forming before it starts eating 245's and 220 or 230 Lazers. My plan is to spend Sunday forming 50 rounds and then filter some more in each range trip.Awesome dude!!! Keep me posted how load development goes please!

Sounds perfect to me!! I used an ice bucket and water with two towels and kept 3 minutes in between each round when I fire formed and it actually went fairly quick! Will do. I killed a bull at 300 yards with a 220 last season, and a buck at 560.The shear restraint I'm having right now to not test out these 220 LRHT's a month before season is extreme hahaha.

We're you not able to get to the lands with the 220s? In my 264WMI they like to be in the lands.Started the session with a 430 yard cold/dirty bore shot with my 230 hunting load. Then went to the 220's. A little over 3100fps, but they all pretty much shot like ****. Too much jump I'm pretty sure. Then ended the session with a 100 yard zero check with the 230's again. I'll be hunting with the 230's for sure.

No I wasn't. The freebore is too long. So I just seated them what looks like about .180" into the neck and went from there. I guess I could have ran them out to .125" but I'd like a little more bullet in the neck. We're you not able to get to the lands with the 220s? In my 264WMI they like to be in the lands.
