300 Norma Mag Improved. Follow along!!!

CCI 250 test. Crazy bad mirage so I just shot at 100 yards to get some velocities and group ideas. They're looking promising for sure.

Also tried to see if I could get to a higher node with 96.5gr. and a 215M. The group and velocities sucked.

Also a picture of the brass from CCI 250's with 97gr. of H1000. Really not in bad shape. Looks like 95-96 is a node though.

I would say its not a coincidence.. out of curiosity how come you wait so long between shots .. the way look at it is .. are you going too have 3 to 5 min if you have to put another round in a critter too put em down??

I always shoot three one right after the other for my groups
I want them too stack cold bore and warm
I guess just want every round on the same barrel temp level when testing them out lol.

I should probably just run three, and then let the barrel cool completely before the next three. I'm still new at this haha.

Do most of the groups you've shot out of that rifle have that flyer? If so I'd be looking at the bedding or see if something is touching the barreled action that shouldn't be. Seems like too much of a coincidence to have three different charges have the same looking group with two right in there and one high and to the right. Are you single feeding these or feeding them from the magazine box when shooting the groups.
I honestly haven't shot a ton of groups. But the few closer groups I've shot, I didn't notice the high flyer.

i see a little ejector is all other than its looks fan fricken tastic
picked up velocity and accuracy a little. 95, 95.5 and 96gr load em up as see what she tells ay at 500 or 600

you may also loose that flyer !!!

everyone has their own way of doing it .. but id send three and cool then send three more!!

That's my plan!! Hopefully stay at the top of the node so that when I'm hunting in the winter time and it's colder, I'm still in it.

How many accuracy rounds down the barrel can one expect from a 300 NMI?

Are you crimping (forgive me if I missed this)? I know Butter Bean is huge on crimping for the Hammers.

I wish I had that much free time to devote and tenacity as you!

Nah I'm not. I tried crimping on my 28 Nosler and didn't see any difference. So I'll avoid it completely, and it's one less step to do and one less inconsistency to possibly introduce.

I've had mixed results with Hammer bullets in my guns. Sometimes they tune super easy and sometimes I just give up on them. At $1+ per bullet if I can't get a load tuned in a 50 round box of them I just move on.
I've not been able to find a good load in my 260AI. I'm talking a gun that's a .250MOA with Bergers has been as much as 3" with Hammers.

actually if I'm not mistaken its been found the F215 is hotter than the cci250 but the cci250 has a harder/thicker cup..

pretty easy too knock them out!!

Load up 3 if you can with the 94.4 and CCi250 pressed too .0065 though depth and check
Primer test 91.0 grains of N570 HH227 in a 300 RUM shot round robin 3 min cooling w fan;
WLRP 3035, 3038, 3045, 3055
Fed 215M 3024, 3018, 3022, 3029
CCI 250 3116. 3106, 3113
My previous accuracy load was 3,018 with the WLRP but I started a new batch of primers and the ES & speed went way up. I ran the ladder up to 3,130 but it was tough on pockets. So in my gun the CCI's are the hottest by a lot.

Mine were about 15fps faster with the CCI250 at each charge weight than the 215M. But it was also 25 degrees warmer this afternoon.

Heading out bright and early to test out 95, 95.5 & 96gr with the CCI250's. I'll be extremely happy with .6 MOA accuracy at 500 yards, less vertical dispersion and 3400fps. That's the hope for tomorrow. High hopes hahaha.
