30 nosler owners, input needed

What a great thread! If I didn't already have a 300 RUM with a reamer, I would consider the 30 Nosler with the wonderful ADG brass.

I'm having one built which should be ready soon. I have Redding dies and adg brass along with 215 bergers and a jug of h1000.

Hopefully I have the rifle by the end of the month. I took the first week of October off for the bow opener, a little fishing and load work up.

I have a question for everyone that builds rifles, how do you determine how much more Freebore you will need? Are you taking a 30 Nosler case and seating a particular bullet to a depth you want, maybe just above the shoulder junction or right at that junction to miss the dreaded donut that may be created? Or do you have a more specific method to determine the Freebore you need? I am very curious how people come up with one that works as good as I have seen on this thread.

Thanks.

My 30 Nosler shoots the 215 hybrids well. The throat was cut based on a dummy round I provided to the smith. Turns out the throat length is similar to many others on this forum. I don't know how to cure a donut problem if it occurs. Haven't experienced that yet. I did have donut issues when I had a 243 win but they have a case stretch reputation. I used an inside reamer at that time for the donut.
