30 nosler owners, input needed

Had my 30 Nosler throat cut .200 over Spec. Others are running .225".

I'm shooting the 210 ABLR lights out in my rifle. 215 Berger also shot great. Low 3000 FPS node with H1000.

Would like to try the Hammer bullets just haven't made the jump yet.

Are you saying you had your freebore cut .200 deeper than a Saami spec. chamber or just .200 deep? .200 deeper than Saami spec. sounds like a lot. at .328 ish. Although I've had a few weatherby's come through the shop, where when it came to freebore, it seemed like "the more the better" was the motto.

.200 on top of SAAMI. Give Travis Stevens at TS customs a call. He built my rifle and determined the throat and spec'ed the custom reamer. Gun shoots in the .1's with a #4 contour benchmark barrel on a Lone Peak Fuzion Ti action.

Nosler Brass is the way to go. I have quite a few loadings on mine and it still is good for a few more. Not sure on the reamer spec's used for my rifle, bought one of Len's rifle packages ( if anyone knows please share)
Using 81gr Retumbo just because I had a bunch on hand from loading my 338LM. But with a consistent .6 MOA and very little development using 210 Berger's at just under 3000 FPS, I am happy. The Berger's seem to do great, my last one was 550+ yards on a caribou and it was impressive.

For those running well over 3k to 3100 with a 215 bullet, how long must your barrel be? 28"+ maybe?

The highest velocity nosler shows for the 210 is just barely over 3k, shown with a 26" barrel

I'm running a 24 inch proof sendero lite on a Ti action with Berger 215s at 3065 fps.
Nosler brass. Fed 215m, H1000 80.5.
I loaded from 79-83 with no pressure signs. 80.5 had lowest SD and ES with groups in the .2s This was with unprepped brass out of the box.
I'm actually shocked at how little recoil this gun has, definitely less than my 3 6.5 saums. Must be the brake.
Weight is 8.3 pounds without the bipod.
Ben
