30 Nosler Load Data

I have a fair amount of VV N570 and H1000, I don't have any 8133 but will not rule it out. Thank you for your suggestion.

In my opinion, N570 isn't worth the extra 75-100fps gained over H1000 as it will decrease barrel life by 15-25% depending on how hot you run it. There's a good spot at 3000 and 3100 215hyb like to run. Idk what bullet you plan on using but the 225k freebore is perfect for the 215. 230s like 2950, and H1000 will do that too.

Thanks, These two 30 Nosler rifles are taking the place of a couple of 12 LB 300 RUM's currently shooting 215 Hybrids at 3,085 fps. My hope is to find a node at 3,050 - 3,100 fps using either VV N570 or H1000 whichever gives the best results, I have a pretty good stash of both. The 215 Hybrid has given me great results so far at 3,085 fps and I would guess these two rifles would be no different.

Highdrum is correct. you no doudt will have more throat wear with 570 when you shoot both grab ahold of the barrel and you will see. If you run 570 just keep the barrel as cool as possible.

Hello! Been awhile! Never could get my rifle to shoot well…..was really doubting myself. So I consulted a different gun smith that I didn't know about until about 6mo ago and he's local. He looked my rifle over and gave me bad news on a few things. Apparently my rifle was not sitting properly in my stock and my stock needed work. After consulting with him and a local Weatherby rep we had my barrel channel cleaned out and also had my action inlet corrected and properly bedded.
I loaded up 6 rounds(kids just wasn't going to allow me to do anymore) 3 loaded with 82gn of H1000 and 3 with 82.5gn. It was cloudy and my chrono didn't register and I think I needed a new 9volt. But the 82.5 grouped a .6 and that made me happy and I felt like hey….maybe I can really start working on my load. I am going to try and work some more loads up today and be ready to shoot.

Hopefully I will be able to hunt with my rifle this year!!! Been a long road but I think I see the end of it now.

This forum has been invaluable and with out y'all I would be up _______ creek with out a paddle

Ps I now also have cci250 primers but sticking with fed215m for now.

I am using the 212 ELDX due to my rifle not feeding the Berger's properly. But May just go the single shot route and run them. I have 215s but I have more 212 ELDX.
Also have ABLR 210s, and 220 ELDX, and Berger 200.2x

Well, I loaded up 9 rounds to shoot today.

I had shot 3@82 and [email protected] of H1000 and as stated on previous post the 82.5 shot in the .6ish range and I was extremely excited! So when I reloaded more to continue. I wanted to try the 82.5 again to make sure I could re create the .6ish group.

I also had my chronograph set up today!

I started with the 83gn and shot a .74 group @ 3093fps avg.

With the research from y'all I wanted to be about 3050-3075 ish

So I put my gun and reloads back in a 68 degree house out of the 95 degree mid morning sun(I was under a back porch)

After about an hour I started back and went back to the 82.5 and shot this group I posted below. And it chronographed a 3067fps avg and I believe I am happy with that. So I have shot two groups one measured .6ish and a second one shot about .427….. I don't think I personally could do better. So understanding normal variances I would say my rifle can be called a .5 Moa rifle.

I just finished my 30 build. I've been playing with 180 and 165g sgk and re26. Shoots outstanding. It's not what I want in bullets. The hammer bullets will be in this week. I'm going to try 124 and 136 hammer hunter. If I can get them to shoot 3/4moa and smoking fast I'll be ecstatic.

What barrel twist rate is yours?
