For those of you with more experience in the long range shooting. What would you consider the longest semi accurate range for a Winchester 94 lever action 30/30 for target shooting....not hunting. Commercially available loads. Open sights...as it's a top eject. Maybe adding a ghost ring to the rear tang.

Hornady claims 300 yards with there leverevolution ammo for hunting.

I would think 400 to 600yards if the accuracy was there.

The best way to find out is to shoot a 3 shot group @ 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, and 600yards
at some distance your rifle will let you know.

Shoot 3 and let it cool back down before you start the next distance because the tubular
magazine tends to cause problems after the barrel starts to heat up.
