MudRunner, I have a great article ( if I can find it) about 30-06 AI where the author was getting 3100 w/ 165's, 2900 w/ 180's and @ 2700+ w/ 200's. Article states all loads were safe in his gun and shot over ohler chrono, shooting a 22" barrel. Your welcome to it if I can find it.

Did you end up getting the Sherman? Care to share what you've experienced with that round? What's your set up?

Unfortunately I did not... I ended up going with with a .30-06 AI. It's been great so far. Mild recoil, great brass life, good velocities out of my 26" 1:12 heavy barrel using 7828 SSC and Berger 185 VLD's.

My 30-06AI / 28" Border barrel, long throat chambered. With 190 Bergers 3000fps, With 215 Berger hybrids 2865fps, no pressure problems. Accuracy about half moa. And powder is VV N560. gun)
