That is very surprising to me? Ive not seen that in my Rifles. I have an 8.5 in my 7 max and it shoots! he 175 and 195 equally well. And he recommends nothing tighter than a 9 twist

Yes, I believe you, I just have not experienced that problem. The tendency these days is tighter twist than we use to think and that has held up for me.Just quoting what he said. ballisticstudies.com
Have you tried 140 to 160,s in it? I am curiousThat is very surprising to me? Ive not seen that in my Rifles. I have an 8.5 in my 7 max and it shoots! he 175 and 195 equally well.
I have not. I think they would likely shoot ok but if I was never going to shoot above 180, I would go with a 9, with a few exceptions like some of the monos.Have you tried 140 to 160,s in it? I am curious
I am not complaining but I wish they would correct to sea level like everybody else.OK. I was looking at hammer bullets yesterday and they want fast twists. And they are at 4000 ft where they do their shooting. I am at 800. Need faster twist yet.
Okay it would be built off a rem 700 action. The 28 Sherman sounds interesting tooMine shoots 175,s awesome in a 3.4 box. The 28 has .210 freebore so if you are shooting it in a Remington box it should be fine
