Thank you Calvin45, I have a couple boxes of those to try in my 27 Sherman mag,This may not be helpful in the slightest as an apples to oranges comparison but a while back (okay ten years ago now) I experimented with the 180 woodleigh weldcore in 270 win. Again, 10 grains heavier, jacket waaaaaay thicker, and bearing surface multiple times longer probably. But still a data point. Best velocity came with rl25. 2600 fps in a 22 inch. I believe it was 57 grains in a Winchester case
Berger has always been fast to answer my emails. But they updated their format for sharing load data. Looks nice, thanks for sharing! Now that puts a fast twist 270 Win or 270 AI back on the table for my JC Higgins Mauser.Berger came through for me. Thanks for the advice Muddy:
Nice! I assume from quite a while ago now? Before they had that fire?Thank you Calvin45, I have a couple boxes of those to try in my 27 Sherman mag,
Good deal! I just found same data. My .270 has 27", 1:8tw, 0.290 freebore so I can seat them out pretty far to take advantage of 3.65 max COAL. Adds case capacity plus speed with longer barrel.Berger came through for me. Thanks for the advice Muddy:
