Is anyone running this combo and wish to share some load data for it?

I know I have some RL26 and H1000, and probably some other powders on hand.

Thanks
Harley

I have a 257 Bee and shoot predominately the 100 grain Barnes TTSX for an all round hunting bullet. Just curious as to why you guys are moving to the ever heavier bullets, they don't seem to have all that much better a B.C. Not criticizing, just curious.

The heavier bullets retain more energy farther and drop less at distance.

I just did a quick calc on JBM and the 100gr only Carrie's 1000lbs of energy to around 550 yard and the 128gr HH should carry 1000lbs past 700 yards.

I am a heavy bullet fan. A .257 WBTY currently in the works to primarily shoot Berger's 133. As @Hoss50 noted, it has higher BC, less drop, and higher energy at POI. If the 133 Berger propels at 3000 FPS, at 900Y = 1912 FPS and 1080 FT=LBS.

I will watch this thread with great anticipation. I also have a 257 Wby being built to shoot heavy bullets. Right now we are using 131 Blackjacks but once the new Bergers are available I plan to get them in the mix and also have looked at the 128HH. Also want to try the 117 Cayuga. My gunsmith told me he is getting 3350fps with the 131Blackjack and H1000 in my rifle. I do not have the load data yet but should be getting the rifle in the next couple of weeks. A quick run of this through the ballistics program shows pretty good potential!
