Rich,
I like Mark have an older Sendero 25-06 that is looking more and more like I will need to rebarrel. I will know once I get back to the range again.....it may have been excessive Moly build up that was causing my Berger non molyed rounds to not be consistant....time will tell.
Your Sherman wildcat seems special.
What Barrel manufacturer, twist, groove would you go with if you were rebarrleing again? Would 30 inches be ideal length?
Hi Aldon....I really like the cartridge so far. It's a screamer and easy on cases. The barrel I have now is a Lilja 3 groove 8 twist and so far so good. I am going to put a Bartlein 5R on my new 300 Sherman though. I've heard a lot of good things about them and they are an up and comer in the benchrest world. As far as length, it just depends on how much you are willing to pack around. A 30" would be great velocity wise. I think with this case, velocity increases approx. 35-40' per inch of barrel length. What is your intended use for the rifle?....Rich
