In reply to Mike , I did not say my ruger had an 8 twist in fact it's a 14 . Ive had it for 20 years , bought second hand . Still ringing steel to 500 yards with the Nikon 3x9 that came on it . With the new better pills available I would like to try with some heavy ones when my barrel goes pooey .
