22" 7prc possible speeds.

Still looking at a few options for a build. I spoke with a gunsmith about the 7 prc with a 22" barrel. He felt that getting 2950-3000 fps with a 180gn bullet was possible. Has anyone else been close to those speeds with their 7prc?

3020 with 180 hybrids.

Other one is 2950.

I think 2950 is more realistic to expect

20" barrel here, factory 175 ELDX are going 2843 fps.

Seems doable to get the speed you're after in a 22".

I have a build with a #3 Bartlein cut at 21" with a Trash Panda supressor, shoots around 2850 with 180 eldm factory loads. Shoots excellent. Killed a bull at 451 and a mule deer at 390 with it this year.

I'm right around 2900 fps in a 22" barrel with Berger 180's, N565, and ADG brass. Had it up to 2950 but the accuracy wasn't there for me.

I'm shooting 168 bergers 2960 out of a 22" about 1.5 grains below max. Stupid accurate, wanting to try the 180s also
