.2-.3 100 yard cold bore challenge

Well, that does come out to 0.216 MOA. Maybe your tape is a more accurate measure. I was just using the diameter of the dime to calculate it. Can't wait to try it again. Anyway ya stack it, I am really happy with my new Sauer 100.
Had 11/16 on my tape still a great great either way

Had to take my 6.5 CM apart to do some work. Put it back together and re-zeroed it.
Still shoots just fine.
I think those hammers are a cheat code. . .

Now if only there were some proof of terminal performance on game😋

Finally got a chance to get to the range. My 7mm RM was completely clean, and the shooter was completely cold after not being behind the trigger for a while. Cold clean bore shot was low and left (1st pic), the next 4 grouped (2nd pic). This was with some factory federal blue box 150 gr ammo I had laying around.

3rd pic is 3 shots of a 140 gr vld load

and the last pic is 5 shots from ladder looking for max charge, so 5 different powder charges.

I let the barrel cool at least 5 minutes between each shot, since the cold bore shot is what counts.

imartin: I usually fire a few before going hunting so that my first shot on a deer will not be from a clean barrel. Your rifle shoots great after the first fouling shot. You probably already know, but I would be interested to know if your rifle doesn't keep that first shot with all the others if you begin with a fouled cold barrel. My .270 WSM behaves that way so I try to shoot it before going hunting (need the practice too!).

Yeah, if the bore was fouled it would have been in there with the other 4.
