How old is he? Was the rifle suppressed?

He's 12 yrs old and the rifle has a custom muzzle break on it! A good friend of ours builds custom guns and put the break on for us. He wears electronic ear muffs so he can hear me and cancel out the noise. Works very well. The rounds are handloads and leaving at 2750. I have a load just about finished that will be about 2850 fps. H1000, adg brass, Fed 215 primers. Shots 1/2" group as is.

Son' 1st bull elk. 315yds extreme up hill with seekins element 7prc and berger 175gr elite hunter. Normally use NAB in my rifles. The berger did a great job on this elk. One shot right behind the shoulder dropped him. Big thanks to Ladd for all his help reloading and support!

That's awesome. I bought the exact gun for my son who isn't 12 year but I was curious what the recoil was like.

Was this a youth hunt or did he draw the early rifle tag?
