It IS good to see these.... Not a lot available in the high quality, light weight Savage stocks aftermarket

Agreed! These really do round out the savage ultralight nicely! At 25 ounces it makes for a very packable rifle.

I'm excited to see these come out for the SA top release varmint line, these shed 12 oz. of weight over the factory tactical stock.

The lack of aftermarket lightweight stocks on the market for Savages made me almost start selling my rifles and buying custom actions. Now that Stocky's and Mesa have come to market, Im retaining my confidence. Grayboe is going to inlet the Renegade for Savage sometime by Summer.

Savage changed its design too much over the years. Stock makers don't want to deal with that. A Remington today is the same as it was 60 years ago

I should have a factory stock here at the shop next week, I can compare weight once it arrives.

Historically the savage tupperware stocks (with no bedding blocks) hover around that 29-33 ounce mark.
