I wonder if they slipped you a 27 Nosler neck die?.270" i.d. .306" o.d. without expander.
Expander measured. 283".
I think it's just too sharp of an edge machined inside of the die. Here is a picture of my de-burr and chamfering before running it through the die.

Why would it hinder necks sealing?I've always figured that an aggressive chamfer like this would hinder necks sealing. I usually just de-burr for the most part.
