Why shoot a sissy rifle?

I built mine to fill a particular niche. I needed an AR with a little more reach than my 6.5 Grendel. Which happens to be my favorite. I wanted brass availability and to be able to shoot the same 123 eldm that I use in the Grendel. So far it works just fine. Its accurate. It does what I need it to do. Would I want one in a bolt action? No. I'd much rather have my 6.5-06 for that.

That's right, I birddog 68 shoot a sissy rifle. Not just any sissy rifle but a 6.5 creedmoor, the queen of sissies.
Some are afraid to mention that they shoot a skinny jeans man bun latte drinking rifle for fear that they will be ridiculed by their former friends. Not I.
I was looking for a rifle that would basically be a range rifle and was a little easier on my torn rotator cuff but wanted a bit more power than my 223 Remington. I wanted readily available brass and bullets and something that I wouldn't have to buy any powder that wasn't on my shelf already. The 6.5 CM checked all the boxes.
I ended up buying a Browning Xbolt western hunter last spring with a 24" barrel and yea it's even got a brake on it!
It's actually been boring working up loads for since it's shot everything good that I have tried so far.
I'm shooting 140 ELDM and 140 ballistic tip and have used IMR 4350, Ramshot hunter,W760 and staball 6.5 and it doesn't care what I fill the case with. It just shoots!
I'd like to hear what brought others to buy such a sissy rifle ?
Don't worry your replies will be confidential. 🤣

I hate to admit, but my very adult son acquired a 6.5CM 3 years ago in a Browning AB3. I am uncertain on how to proceed with the rewriting of my will.

I do own a 260 and 260AI, but I just can't bring myself to the wearing of the manbun.

Buying a CM was tough for me too. I'm not proud of myself. For me it's kind of like dating a homely, fat chick or riding a moped. It's ok until someone else finds out about it.

really curious what Hornady will come out with next that will be hated more than the creedmore 😆 seems like PRCs are ok
Yes, but the clickers…

I'm surprised Hornady hasn't put a rainbow 🌈 on the packaging yet…and renamed it….The 6.5 Creedmo to honor every Mo that shoots one.
If you need to drink soy milk lattes, wear your mama's earrings and hairdo while sporting your sister's jeans …the Creedmo was created just for your dainty lifestyle…

shooting a Creedmo is a great way to meet men, eh?

Of course I know what you are saying but quite honestly when I go to shoot at the club carrying my 6.5 nobody really cares. This is honestly the only place I hear people criticize the cartridge.
I think it's more about the hype than the actual cartridge itself.

And I further confess I gave up my 7 rem mag and now own (2) 7 prc's, I use vortex optics and my heart belongs to Remington , I fly the multi colored flag , be brave my friends
I believe all of this until the last sentence.
I know darn well that your wife ain't going to let you fly no multi colored flag even though you wear the pants there. 🤣

There's some speculation that Hornady is toying with the idea of a .309 Creedmoor -- case size halfway between the .308 Winchester and the .30-06, but shooting a .309 caliber bullet. The case will be too long to make from .308 and if you try to shorten a .30-06 the neck will be too thick. The marketing folks will explain how it will be faster because of modern .309 caliber bullets that take advantage of more than a century of development, but have a proprietary design that opens to a perfect mushroom on impact with any resistance, but retain 100% of their weight no matter what they hit. The .309 caliber will shoot only bullets manufactured by Hornady, too, even though they are so similar to our current 30 caliber bullets. At least that's the speculation.
