I have a 7 blaser improved
Can you tell me what velocities you are getting? I found this in another thread on the 7mm Blaser Mag. The numbers seemed high. That is why I'm trying to ensure my drawings are correct to pull into both Quickload and Gordon's reloading tool to run my own.I have a 7 blaser improved

I actually like my 7mm WSM. I have a longer Freebore and with RL26 and a 162 gr ELD-X get 3133 out of a 25" barrel. They key seems to be having the right powder for the case. Here is what Alliant Powder shows as capable with RL26 and the 7mm WSM. I could not reach those velocities without reaching pressure signs first. Not sure they disagreed that the 7 WSM wasn't good. Think the 300 wsm just overshadowed it. Keep hoping it will find a resurgence in bench rest or f class and we can play with it more
I think I still have some 7lrm brass somewhere to check h20 capacity. If you were getting 3100fps with a 180 you must have had a 26+ barrel and pushed it hard. I had two 7lrms both with 24" barrels and they were 2980-3000fps with 180's.Using the fill to the top of the case method, these are the H2O capacities of the cases i shown earlier including the 7mm NSM. We will call it the New Short Mag (NSM) for now. I don't have a 7mm LRM case anymore to check it's volume. Anyone have one still?

I had a 7mm LRM and as I recall is pushed 180 VLD's at just over 3100 fps. Much faster than the 7mm PRC, but so is the 7mm WSM with the right powder. The 7mm LRM might be the best balanced. However cases have to be purchased from GunWerks Which is $230 per 100. My gut feel is the 7mm NSM would have a similar H2O capacity as the 7mm LRM as the NSM is based on the larger Jeffery's case while the LRM is base on the smaller diameter 375 Ruger case.
That came out blurry here is the link. Thanks
I have a Serb Mauser with Lilja 3 groove 9 twist chambered with my 7 Blaser reamer. The latest loads are 70.5 of H1000, 150 Barnes TTSX 215M @3220. 24" barrel. This barrel is a re-chambered barrel. Consistent under an MOA mostly .5. I think this is the next step up from the 7SAUM. I have a 28N and unless you are going to use the 180-195 bullets the 7Blaser is the better choice.Does anyone have load data for the 7mm Blaser Mag or AI version of that cartridge? This is the closest cartridge to what I would like to build. I need to validate what I think this wildcat can do.
Interesting! I have two (2) 28 Noslers that are tac drivers (3/8" or less) but I don't need that much performance or bullet weight anymore. I don't Elk hunt anymore due to my health limitations thus my interest in a Blaser Hybrid. Thanks for the info.I have a Serb Mauser with Lilja 3 groove 9 twist chambered with my 7 Blaser reamer.
