My 2024 Adirondack buck!!

Thanks guys for all the kind comments, the response to this post has blown me away! My video is finished and sent off for final editing, I'll post a link to this thread when I know for sure when it's going up on the Tracking 200 Youtube channel, I asked for it to go up right away, I would guess in the next few weeks, thanks again! Jon

Congrats on a true trophy. Most people will never understand how difficult it is to hunt the ADK mountains. Harvesting a buck like this is amazing up there. Spent some time in the Cedar River Flow/Moose River Plains area and can't wait to go back.

Thank you, that is god's country for sure, been through there many times!!!

Great buck and vid. In my younger years I targeted bucks like that with my bow mostly and rifle.brings back memories. Then I got hooked on high country muleys. My son shot a nice bull that we packed out on a mountain river in a raft. That was a trip, I have on old video that I need to get on a disc.

I hunted the Tawas area quite a few years, hiked in to spike camp in the High Peaks area. The High Peaks Wilderness area is as wild as it gets. I found an old structure back there that was from another century! You have to wonder who would live in that seclusion. Bit creepy if you know what I mean. No camera but recall in Technicolor.

Hunted Wells for most part and it wasn't quite as "wild".

The one aspect I miss is "the silence is deafening" in back country that many do not experience.

Can't wait to your next video! Great story!

Thank you I appreciate it! Yes I agree, I already miss the silence as well, I live in a rural area full time, but for sure nothing is quite like the silence of miles from a road in the ADK's, it takes a few days for my ears to adjust!!
