Thank you, that is god's country for sure, been through there many times!!!Congrats on a true trophy. Most people will never understand how difficult it is to hunt the ADK mountains. Harvesting a buck like this is amazing up there. Spent some time in the Cedar River Flow/Moose River Plains area and can't wait to go back.
Drive back to Speculator from there was real interesting on those dark roads. Thankfully a convertible so the cold night air helped "recovery".I've left Vrooman's a couple times and had a self inflicted headache the next day!
Thank you I appreciate it! Yes I agree, I already miss the silence as well, I live in a rural area full time, but for sure nothing is quite like the silence of miles from a road in the ADK's, it takes a few days for my ears to adjust!!I hunted the Tawas area quite a few years, hiked in to spike camp in the High Peaks area. The High Peaks Wilderness area is as wild as it gets. I found an old structure back there that was from another century! You have to wonder who would live in that seclusion. Bit creepy if you know what I mean. No camera but recall in Technicolor.
Hunted Wells for most part and it wasn't quite as "wild".
The one aspect I miss is "the silence is deafening" in back country that many do not experience.
Can't wait to your next video! Great story!
