Tips for a new handgun hunter you wish someone would have shared with you.

Tune your load at the ranges you will likely be hunting. Right now my revolvers will do fine at 25 and decently at 100. None of the 3 are great at 200 yards. I need to re-develop loads but I haven't had the time. My 7-08 Striker is fine to 200+ and my kid got his doe with it 2 years ago at 250 yards.
Also, shoot the heck outta that thing. I never truly got decent with a revolver until I was running around a brick of primers a month through my 586 for a spell. I know it costs money to wiggle the trigger, but the only way to work out the kinks and build skill is to get out there a lot.

Critter Picker I had the 22LR XP100 built. It was not cheap either.
The XP100 Rimfire Action is a Remington Custom Shop 40X Single Shot Rimfire Action, Marked XP100. Pacific Tool and Gage bought the Remington Custom Shop, I custom ordered the action correctly marked XP100 from them. This is the way the Remington Prototype should have been built in the first place, instead of building a cobbled together bolt using the original XP100 Stock and action.
We used an as new 1954 40X 26" Bull Barrel cut back to 15" in the middle for the barrel blank.
Del Taylor Center Grip Trigger.
The stock is a Nutmeg Laminated Center Grip by Rockwell. It has the optional beefed up Bipod Stud that he offers.
I have a Weaver Classic Extreme 2.5-10X 30mm Rifle scope on it. The same scope that I have on my Nosler M48 in 6.5 Creedmoor.

I'd love to see pictures. Rather shoot it ,but that probably won't happen.
