I have a Fierce Carbon Rage 7mm rem mag about 4 years old. Just last week I started some new load development and found that the bolt was a little sticky and wouldn't fully eject my old or new reloads. After taking down the bolt and cleaning it with Boretech and the action and chamber, I noticed the extractor didn't look right and wouldn't move in or out without a lot of pressure. Now it won't even extract the cartridge out of the chamber. I was going to try to replace the extractor myself but I rather a professional to replace it because it's a great shooting rifle and I don't want to screw it up. Any referrals will be greatly appreciated!

I do not know his workload but try @Elk Hunter 338 - https://www.laneprecisionrifles.com/. He is also a Site Sponsor and as good as they come.

I'm sorry, I know you said NW WA, but I'm just trying to get you to a reputable GS in the NW.

I have never had work done by oregunsmithing but their work has been featured in Rifle and Handloader magazine. It looks top notch to me. They are out of Pendleton, OR. He specializes in Howa builds but is great with anything. Check him out.

I'd like to echo VICOMB's query, Idaho and Oregon are appreciated and could be the best bet, but I live in Seattle and it's hard to believe there's no experinced and quality gunsmith between Olympia and Bellingham. It's true, a lot of the people who live here think guns are evil tools of mass destruction, but there are enough of us dedicated shooters that I would think there'd be some capable gunsmiths serving their needs. I shoot at the Kenmore Rifle Range in Bothell and a gunsmith has opened a small office there, MRP Tactical (mrptactical.com) - I don't know his skill level, I've only had a small thing done there, but he was extremely personable and good to work with. There have to be others in Northwest Washington that people have worked with successfully, has anyone on this site had complex work done by someone to your satisfaction?

Seems like GS's in this state try to keep their business on the quiet side. R-Bros was here about 30 minutes away but now in Utah(?) Never heard of them until about 3 years ago, and they were about 1 mile up the road from my aunts house.

Hi Jeff. I also shoot at the Kenmore range as I live in Lake Forest Park. Maybe I'll see you there sometime.

I had three rifles rebarreled at Precision Rifle Concepts in Cashmere. This is Gavin Gear's shop of the Ultimate Reloader channel on YouTube. He did an excellent job on all three (one Msrk V and two Vanguards). Very meticulous. Chambers are much more precise than factory.
