6.5x57mm AI reloading dies

I just got a Yugoslav M24/47 (M98 clone) that has been rebarreled for 6.5x57mm AI. I have factory loads and dies for the plain 6.5x57.

I'll need new dies for the AI version, particularly a FL die.

What's the best source for getting either odd sized dies off the shelf or having custom dies made?

Two easiest options… Call Redding & see if they'll build you one. If so, they'll give you the part number & make you order from a dealer. Then call Accurate Arms & Ammo (fantastic folks) & place the order.

Next option, find a Redding Type S FL 7x57 AI bushing die & order a bushing appropriate for your 6.5 brass & desired neck tension.

The bushing dies would easiest as long as they are in stock someplace. Be sure to make a dummy cartridge so you can measure the neck with a bullet seated before ordering bushings.

There are still some gunsmiths around who will make dies for a client. Look around and ask.
