what caliber bullets can i size with a .45 smooth sizer ?

Simplify life and try no wad at all. I did and will never shoot any wad at all. 1 ragged hole at 105 yards without a wad is good enough. Worth a try anyhow.
ok soooo .... i kept thinking about this ......
so what is the purpose of using a wad when shooting full bore in a ML ?
protect the base of the bullet ???
minimize gas shooting through the groves of the rifling ???
it doesn't seem to my inexperienced mind that it could impart spin like a sabot .... but i don't KNOW that to be true ..... .
is it mostly preference with no harm to the gun/shooter with or without ?

A lot has to do with the type of powder you're shooting. It lets the pressure build enough to expand the base of the bullet to grab the rifling. From what I have researched and learned, it's needed with you're slow powders and heavier bullets.
