Just wanted to let everyone know SGAMMO has 17 WSM 25 gr ammo right now. If you have one. You understand how rare of a find it is.
Do you shoot 17 WSM ?

I have a lot of 20gr and just a tad of 25gr. I have a very accurate Savage BMAG .17WSM that likes both 20gr and 25gr. I am still waiting for a two-year-old backordered Savage A17 Sporter .17 WSM. I hope the new one, if it ever arrives, likes 20gr. Some A17 WSM rifles are now being shipped.
From what I read, the A17 is accurate and likes both 20gr and 25gr. Only one rifle sent for field test had accuracy problems.
My BMAG WSM shown below is very accurate.

I seen Winchester has produced a new rifle for the 17 WSM. Maybe not new now. But fairly new. It's also available in 22 LR and I think 22 WMR. I looked at the 22 lr version in person. And I must say I was not impressed. I thought it to be of a lesser quality than the BMAG. Which I didn't believe was possible. Man I wish CZ would produce a 17 WSM. I would be willing to bet they couldn't keep them in stock if the ammo was available on a regular bases.

That's exactly why i moved mine on the rifle was junk,but cartridge was great,I put over $400 in my Bmag to get it to shoot,but moved it on after shooting a 17 hornet,I had 1000 rds of ammo with the rig,a lucky guy here got it.

I bedded the Tupperware stock of my pencil barreled .17 WSM, added a Glades Bolt handle, and added 1" of length to the stock by adding one of those cheap black slip-on-over rubber shock pads. Rifle shoots great.
I suddenly had a serious problem with misfires and thought it was the ammo. It wasn't an ammo problem, was the rifle bolt. Short story, my gunsmith pal Larry removed a few loops of the firing pin return spring and problem solved. The spring was creating a bind within the bolt.

Have you checked with your dealer if the 2 year backorder is still valid or if the sku has changed? They show 8 in stock at the warehouse for the distributor I go through.

I think the A17 .17 WSM will sell much better than Savage expected.
