I'm not pushing it super fast. 2750 is what I'm getting for my hunting load with the 275 grain BD II's.
After this upcoming hunting trip I'll start trying loads with different powders.
Picked up some lighter hammer hunters and BD II's to try out. Also snagged a box of the Berger hybrid OTM tactical in 300 gn today. The BC was pretty decent on them.
I'd test the expansion on those first before poking game. I was in a store a week ago that had 4 boxes of 300grn elite hunters. Thru hard to find up there?
I only use solids on game. After I had an ELD-X grenade inside a sheep, sending lead all over, I went back to solid copper.
Well, the caribou were both close. 150 and 100 yards. Dumped the first one where it stood and the second went about 5' and tipped over.
First shot on my moose was 880 yards and I made a bad wind call and hit him too far back on the lung. Adjusted and dumped him at 950 yards. He spun left and tipped over. Full penetration with the 275gn Super Bulldozer II's at 880 and 950.
Waited almost an hour before shooting the moose. Kept thinking he'd come closer as I called. He was more interested in finding another bull to fight. Closest he ever got was 875 yards. Luckily it was in the morning so we had plenty of time to clean him and get him back to camp before dark.
Can see the knob I was shooting off of in the picture with the skull and rifle. It's on the top left of the V notch.
Winter decided to come early and the temps dropped to 16° at night. Snowed all the way home from Fairbanks.

I got a Defiance action and Bartlien 9.35 twist I can run 2800 with 86 gns of 7828 with 300 gr Atips this load is Max in my setup 86.5 flat primers and slight ejector marks 87gns same with stiff bolt lift anyway sneek up on it

@SheepShapeAK Well done sir. Hopefully I'll be back up there befor next season and can get on the same page. I figured you'd have seen more snow, it looks like Eagle River and Anch are getting hit pretty good.

I had good results with RL26 and 285gr Hornady ELD Match bullets:
